iNexus : About : Our WorldWe at Infinite Nexus truly believe in giving back to the community that supports us and to the world at large. Many dangers, charities and threats scream out for our attention in this world, from the 'war' in Iraq to the 100 acres that are cut or burned down each minute in the rainforests of South America, Africa, and Southeast Asia. That's why we've tried to set aside no less than 10% from our software to be donated to charities dedicated to making a difference in this world each year. Each employee takes our values and beliefs to heart as embodied in our ethics. The office has recycle bins for plastic, glass, and paper and electronic communication is put to good use (why print a document when a simple attachment will do?) and anything that isn't essential is recycled. Walking is encouraged and we try to drink as much water as we do soft drinks (well, sometimes caffeine does keep you awake... ) We currently support the following organizations and look forward to expanding the list because it matters more what we can do for others than just what we can get for ourselves. World Wildlife Fund Besides the opportunity to donate money and licenses we also like to donate our time and skills. Our staff has also reached out through the organizations they particpated in, including letter-writing campaigns for Amnesty International and the WWF (as well as their Panda Passport). They have also served as members on the chapter and regional levels of the national service fraternity, Alpha Phi Omega. We also regularly contribute to open-source projects such as the incredible Cocoa messenger application, Adium X and the popular notifications system, Growl.
