Customizing dotMac Menu The Show menu is the heart of dotMac Menu's customizability. Each category has an entry here that determines whether or not that category is visible. This is indicated by the checkmark next to the category's name in this menu. dotMac Menu also supports themes which allow you to match it's menubar appearance to match Mac OS X's built-in Aqua or Graphite appearances. To choose either theme you need only click on its entry in the Show menu. Only one theme may be selected at a time. Another customization feature is the ability to display alternate items directly in the menu instead of needing to press the Option key to make these visible. You can also display menu items without the verb at the beginning as a 'short name' to make your menu as thin as possible. You can choose which categories you want as well as your theme and display styles and dotMac Menu will automatically remember and restore this for you each time it launches. These preferences are stored in your Home folder's Library folder, inside the Preferences folder, in com.inexus.dmmenu.plist. |
