Customizing a Drive's Gauge

Selecting and applying gauges to a drive's icon are discussed in another section but there are several options that are separately configurable to make each gauge's appearance unique.

Tip: these options are changed on a per drive basis, which means each can be different and unique.
  • Icon to be Gauged popup menu - this controls which icon is gauged and has a variety of options (current, backup, hard drive, FireWire drive, iPod, iDisk, or custom icon in .icns format) and can be set per drive for the most customization possible.
  • Automatic updating - this option is available from Preferences and allows for background updating, at user defined intervals, as described in Preferences Explained.
  • Options Drawer - this drawer, which is closed by default, contains several options including styles, nudging, rotating, and more.
Tip: the Preview in the Drive List window will show any changes as you make them, allowing for a 100% live preview before applying.
