The Results

By default, when interacting with items in Duplicate Items Compare Folders will use the item in Folder One for actions.

Each list supports Item Actions for the selected item, and any item can be opened in its associated application by double-clicking on it. Compare Folders also includes a robust contextual menu for selected items with one-click access to Item Actions (see Tip.)

Each list also supports drag and drop, both to set folders to compare (by dragging and dropping onto a folder icon) and to other applications, provided the application you are dragging to supports the item you are dragging (such as dragging a JPEG file onto Preview, which will then open it.)

Compare Folders can also include the number of each type of items in the tab titles and next to each folder in its corresponding tab (such as showing the number of new items in Folder One next to it in the New Items tab. See the Preferences for how to choose which way this is displayed.

Tip: Make sure to select an item and then click for the contextual menu.
