Item Actions

Compare Folders has several Item Actions to allow you to control your files and folders which are available from Compare Folders' toolbar as items, from the Actions menu, or from contextual menus.

They are:

• Open - opens a file or folder in its associated application (e.g. a .pdf opening in Preview)
  
• Reveal in Finder - opens a new Finder (or Path Finder) window with the item selected
  
• Delete - moves the selected item to the Trash (and removes it from the list)
  
• Rename - shows a sheet allowing you to rename an item
  
• Lock/Unlock [files only] - lock or unlock the selected item
  
• Copy To... - copy a file or folder [and its contents] to the other folder or any other location on your computer
  
• Upload to iDisk [files only] - choose an iDisk location and upload files for storage and sharing
  
• Show in Inspector - opens the Item Inspector with the current item's information displayed
  
• Get Info - shows a Get Info window with information about the current item
  
• Compare This Folder [folders only] - sets the selected folder as a folder to be compared, available from Actions and contextual menus
