Compare Folders includes a robust
Get Info architecture with support for as many windows as you
can open, which goes hand in hand with multiple selection
support. The interface is clean, familiar, and tuned for efficiency.
The Show in Finder button saves you the effort of going back
to the results. Hold down your mouse on the icon for a handy
zoom effect!

Compare Folders also includes an expansive set of preferences
to give you full control over your experience from how results
are displayed to Growl and .Mac integration,
including customizing the Uploads window.

Have a .Mac account?
Compare Folders has complete support
for .Mac including displaying account details such as expiration
and iDisk usage and fully supports iDisk uploading.
You can upload any file to your iDisk via Compare
Folders and
the iDisk Uploads window let's you manage what's going on. You
can choose to automatically upload when you add items and
close the window when you're done or you can control the entire
process with a single click on each item.

And there are more Item Actions including:
FilePeek - an unobtrusive means of viewing the contents of a file in QuickLook-like window that works on 10.4 as well Archive Selected... - uses the flexible zip tool to create zip files for any selection of results in a particular folder. -
Copy To... - copies any files or folders (and
its contents) to any other folder, including the ones you've just
compared for those times when you need to synchronize the contents
of two folders. (using the powerful cp tool)

Compare This Folder - sets any selected folder
in the results as the next folder to be compared, no extra work
required

Delete - move any selected items to the Trash
quickly and painlessly

Drag & Drop - drag your items to another application and their info will be there, and you can drop items to Compare Folders as well

Rename - change any unlocked item's name right from Compare Folders

Folders while it's
working then you'll love the Growl notifications, Dock badges and completion sound effect that let you know when a comparison finishes (as well as uploads and copies.) |
