Slow your roll

As I mentioned in a previous post, my life and schedule have changed a bit. As such, I’m taking a little different turn with how I approach my iNexus projects. This isn’t earth-shaking, world changing news but more a gentle right turn onto a differently curving path going to the same destination (yes, it’s a heavy metaphor, but it’s what I had offhand.)

The most noticeable, and first, change is that I’m losing the ‘pedal to the metal’ attitude I’ve had in favor of a more thorough and qualitative approach. What this translates to product/programming wise is that I’m pursuing an idea that’s sat in the back of my head for a while: INKit.framework.

A great opportunity

I wanted to take a minute to announce a tremendous opportunity that’s occurred in my life and explain how it will affect Infinite Nexus. I’ve recently accepted a position at Apple as a Mac OS X Desktop Software Engineer, working on Apple Remote Desktop (which, if you have more than one computer, is a great piece of software!) Over the next few weeks I’ll be moving out to Cupertino and settling into my new environs.

What does this actually mean for Infinite Nexus? Not a terrible lot - I’m not going to shut it down and I’ve been given the green light to continue my current endeavors in my spare time. This does not mean that any product from Infinite Nexus is in any way endorsed, affiliated with or supported by Apple (they aren’t), and I can’t stress that enough. Practically speaking I won’t have near the time I have had in the past few months to devote to iNexus projects, but they will certainly continue. In that spirit each one has a status update below.
